Saved Views
Save and share custom views with specific filters, sorts, grouping, and column configurations.
Overview
A Saved View captures a specific configuration of your board — including the view type, visible columns, filters, sorting, grouping, and column order. Switch between saved views with one click to see your data from different perspectives.
Creating a Saved View
Configure the Board
Set up your board exactly how you want it: choose a view type, apply filters, set sorting, group by a column, hide/show columns, and resize columns.
Save the View
Click the Save View button (or the ”+” icon next to existing view tabs) in the view toolbar.
Name and Configure
Give your view a descriptive name (e.g., “My Tasks This Week”, “Critical Bugs”, “Team Workload”). Choose the visibility:
- Private — Only visible to you
- Shared — Visible to all board members
What is Saved
A saved view stores the following configuration:
| Setting | Saved |
|---|---|
| View type (Board, Table, Timeline, Calendar, Visual) | Yes |
| Filters and filter logic | Yes |
| Sort columns and directions | Yes |
| Group by column | Yes |
| Visible/hidden columns | Yes |
| Column order and widths | Yes |
| Color coding column | Yes |
| Kanban column (for Board view) | Yes |
| Date mapping (for Timeline/Calendar) | Yes |
| Zoom level (for Timeline) | Yes |
Saved views are configurations, not snapshots. They always display the latest data matching the saved criteria.
Managing Views
Switching Views
Saved views appear as tabs at the top of the board. Click any tab to switch to that view instantly.
Editing a View
Make changes to the board configuration and click the view name dropdown, then Update View to save the changes.
Reordering Views
Drag view tabs left and right to reorder them. The first tab is the default view shown when opening the board.
Setting a Default View
Right-click a view tab and select Set as Default. This view will be shown first when anyone opens the board.
Duplicating a View
Right-click a view tab and select Duplicate to create a copy. Useful for creating variations of an existing view.
Deleting a View
Right-click a view tab and select Delete. The underlying data is never affected — only the view configuration is removed.
Common View Setups
Shared vs Private Views
| Private | Shared | |
|---|---|---|
| Visible to | Only you | All board members |
| Editable by | Only you | Board admins |
| Appears in tabs | Only for you | For everyone |
| Can be set as default | For yourself only | For all members |
Start with a private view while experimenting with configurations. Once you are happy with it, change it to shared so the whole team benefits.
View Permissions
Board admins can lock shared views to prevent accidental modifications. Locked views can be used by everyone but only edited by admins.
