Overview

ProBeya provides a powerful global search that lets you find items, boards, projects, people, and comments across your entire organization. Access it from the search bar in the top navigation or by pressing Cmd+K / Ctrl+K.

Press Cmd+K / Ctrl+K to open the command palette with search. Start typing to see instant results grouped by category:

  • Items — Tasks, issues, and rows from all boards
  • Boards — Board names matching your query
  • Projects — Project names and descriptions
  • People — Team members by name or email
  • Comments — Comment text containing your query

The command palette also supports actions. Type ”>” to switch to command mode and access shortcuts like “Create new board”, “Go to settings”, or “Switch workspace”. See the Command Palette guide.

Search Syntax

Type any word or phrase to search across all fields. Results are ranked by relevance.

Exact Match

Wrap your query in double quotes to find exact phrases:

"Q1 marketing plan"

Use the field:value syntax to search within a specific column:

assignee:Jane status:Done priority:High

Boolean Operators

Combine terms with AND, OR, and NOT:

bug AND priority:Critical NOT status:Done

Date Ranges

Search for items with dates in a range:

due:this-week

Search Filters

The search results page provides filter controls on the left sidebar:

Recent Searches

The search panel shows your recent searches for quick access. Click any recent search to run it again. Clear your search history from the bottom of the recent searches list.

Saved Searches

Click the star icon next to any search query to save it. Saved searches appear in the left sidebar under Saved Searches for one-click access.

Saved searches are dynamic — they always show the latest results matching your query, not a static snapshot.

Search from Anywhere

Besides the command palette, you can search from:

  • Board search (Cmd+F / Ctrl+F) — Search within the current board only
  • Table view — Highlights matching cells in the current table
  • Comments — Search within an item’s comment thread
  • People directory — Search for team members in the sidebar

Indexing

ProBeya indexes all text content in real time. New items and changes are searchable within seconds of being created or modified. File contents (PDFs, documents) are also indexed for full-text search.
